Proxe Station Training

Students and staff praying before going out to witness
Mark Slaughter, our trainer.
Berea students (and others from around Kentucky) came to UK on September 22nd to be trained in evangelism, and, more specifically, proxe station ministry.  The climax of our day was actually witnessing to folks on UK's campus in the afternoon using our proxe station!  Entitled "How Does Evil Invade Your Space?" This station gives students a chance to talk about how evil has affected their lives and those of people they love, as well as discussing the sources and solutions to evil.  If they let us, we share the gospel with them!

Year-End Bonfire

Worship by the fire

Danny and Kyle wrestling...or something.

Our fall ended in flames.  Literally!  And that is a good thing.  That is, we ended the school year with our students by having a celebratory bonfire, s'mores, etc, and nice round of singing praises by the light of the fire.  The festivities took place at our good friend Debby Carrick's property just outside Berea.  It was good to see the students cut loose and enjoy themselves and one another at the close of a tough semester.  Too much academics will make students a little crazy!

Doly and Josh about to wrestle...I think.

Intro

This is the new place to find out about stuff going on with InterVarsity at Berea College, KY...the ministry of Jess and Gabrielle Steere...and now Clay Isaac!  Someone recently suggested that I start a blog about our work at Berea, and as it turns out, I have realized that smaller, more frequent updates are far easier for me to do than a big newsletter every few months...and as far as I have been able to find out it is also more conducive for my partners to be involved, in the way of comments and prayers.  So, here we go!
